AlphaNova Referral Program Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

The AlphaNova Referral Program ("Program") is designed to reward individuals ("Referrers") who refer new participants ("Referrals") to AlphaNova’s financial forecasting competitions. By participating in this Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Program is open to all individuals who have an AlphaNova account in good standing.

2.2 You must refer individuals who do not currently have a user account with AlphaNova.

2.3 Self-referrals are not allowed.

3. Referral Process

3.1 To refer someone, you must share your unique referral link or code provided by AlphaNova. This can be found once you have signed in to AlphaNova.

3.2 The Referral must use this link or code when signing up to AlphaNova.

4. Referral Rewards

4.1 If a Referral wins first place in any AlphaNova competition, the Referrer will receive a referral bonus based on the type of competition:

a) Cash Award Competitions:

• For the first contest in which a Referral wins first place, the Referrer will receive a referral bonus equal to the lesser of:
  i) 20% of the first-place prize, or
  ii) $1,000.
• For subsequent contests in which the same Referral wins first place, the Referrer will receive a referral bonus equal to the lesser of:
  i) 10% of the first-place prize, or
  ii) $500.
• Cash awards are payable at a designated date after the contest ends.

b) Profit Sharing Reward Competitions:

• If a Referral wins first place in a competition where predictions are embedded in AlphaNova’s trading system, rewards will be based on performance fees earned over time.
• A portion of the performance fees will be paid to winning scientists whose predictions had a positive impact on AlphaNova’s trading profits (i.e., the signal was positively related to PnL).
• The Referrer will receive 5% of the payout to their Referral, capped at $500 on each payment date.
• Payments will be made periodically throughout the year.

4.2 The referral reward applies to all future competitions in which the Referral secures a first-place win. The Referrer continues to receive rewards as long as their Referral participates and meets the winning criteria.

4.3 Rewards will be credited to the Referrer’s AlphaNova account within 30 days of the Referral's verified win for Cash Award Competitions, or on designated periodic payment dates for Profit Sharing Reward Competitions.

4.4 AlphaNova reserves the right to modify or adjust the reward amount at any time, with prior notice.

5. Limitations and Exclusions

5.1 Referrals must be natural persons. Bots, automated accounts, or any other fraudulent signups will disqualify both the Referral and the Referrer.

5.2 If multiple Referrers claim credit for the same Referral, AlphaNova will determine, at its sole discretion, which Referrer is eligible.

5.3 AlphaNova reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these terms or engaging in fraudulent activities.

6. Payment & Taxes

6.1 All referral rewards will be paid in U.S. dollars or an equivalent method as determined by AlphaNova.

6.2 Referrers are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees related to their referral rewards.

7. Program Modifications & Termination

7.1 AlphaNova reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time, with reasonable notice.

7.2 Any modifications will be communicated via AlphaNova’s official communication channels.

8. General Terms

8.1 Participation in the Program does not create any form of partnership, agency, or employment relationship between the Referrer and AlphaNova.

8.2 Any disputes arising from this Program shall be resolved at AlphaNova’s sole discretion.
